User Consent Policy for Accessing Learning Analytics Log Data of FEeLS
Scope
This policy applies to all users of all the sites of Faculty of Engineering e-Learning System (FEeLS), including Students, Lecturers, Manager and administrators. Log data includes, but is not limited to, timestamps of logins, page visits, resource usage, assessment activity, and interaction metrics.
Types of Data Collected
- Login/logout timestamps
- Pages and resources accessed
- Time spent on tasks
- Activity Added
- Data relevant in related research/developments
Usage
The data will only be used for Learning analytics on completely anonymous basis. Personal and sensitive information will not be revealed, published or shared. The analysis will be helpful for developing educational framework and polices to help students, enhance the FEeLS facilities and research purposes.
Consent
Therefore, Consent will be obtained through an opt-in process presented at the time of first login ONLY. Users must affirmatively agree to the terms before access is granted to the learning platform.
